Trish Gargani/director/owner, grew up in Port Washington and still resides there with her husband and two daughters.  Trish Gargani, better known as “Miss Trish” took over ownership of the studio 3 years ago after teaching there for 8 years.  Prior to this, Trish worked at a PR firm in NYC working with such clients as Maybelline and Hasbrol.  Since acquiring the business, Trish has changed the entire culture of the studio, created new curriculums, enhancing the teaching staff, built competition teams, and has since doubled enrollment. 

 


Competitive

Danceworks, NY has been part of the Port Washington community for 11 years.   Danceworks, is the only studio in Port that has traveling competition teams, which competes all over Long Island, and is known to have won multiple 1st place overall awards.  The popularity of the teams is growing, recently performing on the field at a METS game, alongside the NY Jet cheerleaders.  The next goal for the teams is to compete regionally & nationally.


Part of the Community 

In addition, Danceworks has been featured several times in the Port News as a leading small business, and active member of the community.  Most recently receiving an award for “2016 Port Washington's Top Studio.”  Trish believes in partnering with local business to share resources and gain exposure, such as Bach 2  Rock, Parent Resource Center, TinabyDesign, Threads4Kids, and especially Friends Together Nursery where she is part of the school’s curriculum.  
From a performance perspective, Danceworks believes in building their students self-confidence on stage, and has exposed them to many events, including: Pride in Port, Harborfest, the Christmas Tree Lighting, the Nutcracker at the Landmark Theater, and the annual recital at Schreiber High School.  
 Danceworks, NY  also gives back to charities and under privileged children, raising funds and donating costumes to “From Our Hearts to Your Toes” & “Dancing Dreams” located in Bayside, NY.
