Trish Gargani/director/owner, grew up in Port Washington and still resides there with her two daughters.  Trish Gargani, better known as “Miss Trish” took over ownership of the studio 11 years ago after teaching there for 8 years.  Since acquiring the business, Trish has changed the entire culture of the studio, created new curriculums, enhancing the teaching staff, and has built numerous competition teams. Miss Trish is passionate about the Danceworks family that she has created and continues to share her love of dance with all her students.

 


Competitive

Danceworks, NY has been part of the Port Washington community for 19 years.   Danceworks, is the only studio in Port that has traveling competition teams. Our company teams compete all over Long Island, and is known to have won multiple 1st place overall awards, best choreography awards and many judges awards.  

Danceworks, NY has been asked to participate and dance at numerous venues such as Mets Stadium, Metlife Stadium, Madison Square Garden and with the Radio City Rockettes.

We are the only studio in Port Washington that offers recreational and competitive dance to children ages 2-18 years.

We are dedicated to building self confidence while reaching creative potential.

We are located in the Soundview Shopping Center which is ever growing to many new exciting businesses.

In addition, Danceworks has been featured several times in the Port News as a leading small business, and active member of the community.


From a performance perspective, Danceworks believes in building their students self-confidence on stage, and has exposed them to many events, including: Pride in Port, Harborfest, the Christmas Tree Lighting, the Nutcracker at the Landmark Theater, and the annual recital at Schreiber High School.  


Danceworks, NY  also takes a lot of pride in giving back. Danceworks, NY has raised funds and continues to donate costumes to “From Our Hearts to Your Toes” & “Dancing Dreams” located in Bayside, NY.
